Persimmon Farmstead Shanag is our boutique hotel in Shanag village near Bahang, about 4–5 km north of Manali. It blends wooden chalets and stone cottages across wide orchard lawns — close enough to Old Manali and Mall Road to wander in, far enough to wake up to apple trees and snow-kissed peaks.
Why this home is the way it is
Shanag is the family's newest chapter and, in some ways, the fullest expression of the Persimmon idea: wooden chalets and stone cottages set across wide open lawns, apple orchards on every side, and snow-kissed peaks holding the horizon.
It is the most flexible of the homes — a room in a chalet for two, a stone cottage for the family, lawns big enough for a group to take over. Pets are welcome, the kitchen is warm and social, and the whole place is built to feel like a village within the village.
And it is close in. Shanag sits just above Bahang, a short hop from Old Manali's cafés and Mall Road, so you can spend the day in town and come home to orchard quiet by evening.

Yes. Both Persimmon homes welcome pets. The orchard lawns at Badgran and Shanag are especially good for dogs, with space to roam. Do let us know you're bringing a pet when you request your dates so we can put you in the right room.

Kullu–Manali Airport at Bhuntar is the nearest, roughly 35 km from the Badgran Farmstead and about an hour's drive. Many guests instead fly to Chandigarh and drive up, or take an overnight Volvo from Delhi — our travel desk can arrange the pickup either way.
