The food is why people come back

We'll be honest about what Persimmon is famous for, and it isn't marble bathrooms. It's the kitchen. Ask a returning guest what they remember and it's almost always a meal — the breakfast juice, the mutton, the evening someone cooked them siddu because it was cold.

Persimmon began with two friends who loved to feed people, and that's still the whole idea. Produce comes from the orchard and the kitchen garden, meals are made to order in small batches, and nothing leaves the kitchen the founders wouldn't eat themselves.

About the food

Is food included in the stay?

Breakfast is included at most rooms and is a highlight — fresh juice from the orchard, eggs, and warm bread. Lunch and dinner are cooked to order in our kitchen; just tell us in the morning what you'd like and roughly when.

Can you cater to vegetarians, vegans and Jain food?

Yes. Ours is a home kitchen, so we cook to your needs — pure vegetarian, vegan, Jain, no-onion-no-garlic, or a child's plain plate. Let us know when you request your dates and again on arrival so the kitchen can plan.

Is the kitchen a full restaurant?

It's a family farm kitchen, not a large hotel line — and that's the point. It means everything is made fresh, in small batches, with care. It also means we appreciate a heads-up on meal times so nothing keeps you waiting.
